This presentation will analyze some of the newest MEAC opinions, explain why MEAC reached the conclusions it did for each question it was presented, and consider the potential implications of each MEAC opinion. Throughout the presentation, program attendees will be asked for their thoughts, concerns, and interpretations of each MEAC opinion.
Mediator Christy L. Foley, Esq. has been mediating since 2009 and has been working in the online environment since 2010. Her long history in the field gives her the skills necessary to effectively handle your e-mediation.
Ms. Foley was appointed to the Florida Mediator Ethics Advisory Committee (“MEAC”) in 2016. Since 2018, she has served as Chairwoman of MEAC.
She also serves an officer in the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the Florida Bar.
Plus, she has given presentations on mediation ethics and techniques throughout Florida, including multiple presentations at Florida’s Annual Dispute Resolution Conference (“DRC”), and has hosted multiple nationwide webinars on e-mediation.
Ms. Foley is certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a circuit civil, appellate, and county court mediator. Additionally, she is a Florida Supreme Court qualified arbitrator.
She is licensed to practice law in both New York and Florida. She also manages an entertainment and small business law firm in Central Florida called The Law Office of Christy L. Foley.
In addition to mediating online, Ms. Foley mediates in person, serving as a mediator at CPLS, PA.
