SPEAKERS: 

Patricia H. Thompson arbitrates and mediates with JAMS Florida, concentrating her practice in construction, employment, financial insurance matters, and other complex, commercial domestic and international disputes. Ms. Thompson is regularly listed by The Best Lawyers in America, Chambers USA Guide to America’s Leading Business Lawyers, The International Who’s Who of Construction and Business Lawyers, and similar Florida publications ranking attorneys in her areas of practice concentration. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the American College of Construction Lawyers. Before joining JAMS, Ms. Thompson enjoyed a successful career for 40 years as a trial lawyer and arbitrator. She has long been active in the ABA, chairing the Fidelity and Surety Law Committee of the Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section and co-chairing the Construction Litigation Committee of the Litigation Section. She is a frequent author and lecturer for both ABA sections, the Forum on Construction, and the Florida Bar Association.

 

Natalie L. Paskiewicz is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator and qualified arbitrator who conducts mediations and arbitrations throughout Florida. Since beginning her neutral practice, Paz Mediation, in 2016, Ms. Paskiewicz has conducted more than 1,000 mediations and has served as an arbitrator in numerous binding and non-binding matters. Her practice focuses on a wide range of civil disputes, including premises liability, trucking and transportation, property damage, automobile negligence, and products liability.

Ms. Paskiewicz serves on arbitrator panels for the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA), Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), and the Conflict Prevention and Resolution (CPR) panel of distinguished neutrals. In 2025, she was inducted into the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals (NADN). Prior to focusing on alternative dispute resolution, she gained litigation and legal experience through work with Minor League Baseball, a clerkship with a Sixth Judicial Circuit judge, and a position with television personality Judge Judy. Ms. Paskiewicz earned her J.D. from Stetson University College of Law and is based in the Tampa Bay area, where she conducts mediations throughout the state, frequently via Zoom.
